A SUGGESTION FOR A BEGINNING

At this time, I would like to suggest a possible transition from our present money system to the energy system.  Let us start with a simple example. The least privileged of our citizens are the homeless. Our poor, physically or mentally handicapped will be the first to benefit from the scientific-energy-planned society. They will receive complete basic physical care. Here is how it might be designed.

When the visitor was asked, “Is there an example of people in our society who do not depend upon money for all physical needs?” The answer was yes. “Your military people are provided with clothing, food, education, shelter, transportation, communication, health and recreation without the necessity of using money.” Military styled housing could be quickly assembled outside all large cities. Each of these Quonset hut style housing units would consist of one or two bed rooms, and one bathroom. All meals would be served and eaten in a central mess hall. Nutritious meals would be served three or four times daily. Drugs would not be available. Education would be of a vocational nature so as to prepare citizens for a self-sufficient life style. Healthy recreation and relationship skills would be stressed. This entire life style-program could be cost effective because welfare money would not be necessary. Just as in the military, all essentials would be provided.
We could realize quite quickly from this well established design that money greatly limits our potential development. From this proposed experiment we could easily proceed toward the “energy” society as described by the Visitor.

I realize that there are a great many suggestions that can add to this evolutionary design. In a true democracy input is essential. For example, segregated energy unit distribution for the wide variety of occupations must be evaluated so as to establish an incentive for self achievement towards highly responsible social positions. The more responsible position, the higher the standard of living would be rewarded.

I realize the honor and privilege for having had the opportunity to present this paper. Thank you for reading to the end.
